The Parlkarra District High School Parents and Citizens Association (P & C) is a vibrant group of parents and teachers who are constantly looking for opportunities to support and improve the school, and contribute to the overall community. There are a uniform shop and a school canteen under the P & C’s management. Involvement in the P & C is one of the best ways of being aware of school activities and what is planned to improve the school environment for the children. There are many ways for parents to support this organisation, however, personal involvement is the one most appreciated. During the school year P & C meets approximately twice a term. Meeting dates are advertised in the school newsletter. From time to time the P & C engages in fund raising and social activities, or arranges busy-bees at which parents can mix and meet others. To date the association has been an active contributor to the school’s education program and the development of school facilities. It is hoped that all parents can help maintain this support.
